Jaipur, February 13 (Udaipur Kiran): The pace of rising temperatures has begun to show across Rajasthan, with daytime heat increasing in several cities, while nights remain cold in many areas.

On Thursday, Barmer recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 33 degrees Celsius. Eight cities reported daytime temperatures above 30 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, Jalore recorded a maximum of 31.3 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer 31 degrees, Chittorgarh and Jodhpur 30.8 degrees each, Pali 30.6 degrees, Dungarpur 30.4 degrees and Dabok 30.2 degrees Celsius.
Despite the rise in daytime temperatures, night temperatures remained low in several places. Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 4.9 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest night in the state. Night temperatures also fell below 10 degrees Celsius in Karauli, Mount Abu, Dausa, Sikar, Lunkaransar, Jhunjhunu, Pali, Nagaur and Pilani. Alwar recorded the warmest night at 19 degrees Celsius.
In the state capital Jaipur, fluctuations in temperature continued. The maximum temperature rose by 0.8 degrees to 28.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature dropped by 1.1 degrees to 14.1 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department said similar fluctuations in day and night temperatures are likely to continue in the coming days. Experts attribute the rising daytime heat to clear weather and the impact of westerly winds, while cooler conditions persist during the night.
