Jaipur, October 10 (Udaipur Kiran) — Northern winds have led to a significant drop in temperatures across Rajasthan, with 21 cities recording minimum temperatures below 20°C. Sikar emerged as the coldest city, registering a low of 15.5°C on Thursday night.

According to the Meteorological Department, most cities in the state witnessed a fall of 1–2 degrees in minimum temperatures. Jaipur experienced sunny weather during the day with mild winds. The city’s night temperature dipped by 0.8°C, recording a maximum of 31°C and a minimum of 19.4°C.
Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, said that due to the ongoing impact of northern winds, both minimum and maximum temperatures in several parts of the state are 2 to 7 degrees below normal. He added that the weather across Rajasthan will remain dry for the next week. No major change in temperature is expected over the next 48 hours, after which a gradual rise of 2–3 degrees is likely.
