Udaipur, February (Udaipur Kiran): Several prominent Indian and IPL cricketers are set to visit the lake city this month as Udaipur hosts a major T20 cricket tournament. Preparations are underway for the Rockwoods Blazing Striker Cricket Cup, which will be held from February 21 to February 28, 2026, at the Shikarwadi Ground.

The details were shared during a press conference by organising committee president Sunil Laddha, organising secretary Vivek Ghai, along with Udaipur Cricket Association president Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, UDCA secretary Manoj Chaudhary, Udaipur District Cricket Association treasurer Mahendra Sharma, Deepak Sharma, and CA Manish Agrawal.
Deepak Sharma informed that the T20 tournament will feature day and night matches. International, IPL and state-level players will participate. Cricketers likely to attend include Indian team players Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi, Dhruv Jurel, and Pawan Negi, along with IPL players Mangesh Yadav, Shivam Singh, Priyansh Arya, Aryan Juyal, and Shubham Garhwal.
Organising secretary Vivek Ghai said that eight teams will compete in the tournament. Each team must include three IPL players and five Ranji Trophy players. The teams will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semi-finals. Matches will be played using Kookaburra balls, similar to those used in international cricket.
Two matches will be played daily, with one match scheduled during the day and the other at night. Special lighting arrangements will be made for the night games.
Players will be provided with coloured kits. The winning team will receive ₹10 lakh, while the runner-up will be awarded ₹5 lakh as prize money.
