New Delhi, October 4 (Udaipur Kiran) : Calls for enhanced security for Sant Premanand Maharaj have intensified within the Sant community in New Delhi. This surge in demand follows a letter from Sant Dinesh Falhari Maharaj to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, advocating for increased protection for the revered figure. Prominent saints have rallied in support of this request, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding Premanand Maharaj, who is regarded as a source of pride for both Vrindavan and the broader saint community.
Supporting the call, Arya Sant Varun Das Maharaj remarked on the recent factional tensions surrounding the ashram, stating, “The news circulating among the public necessitates an investigation. Given that Premanand Maharaj is a point of pride for Vrindavan and the entire nation’s saint community, his security should undoubtedly be enhanced.”
Mahant Sitaram Das also praised Falhari’s initiative, asserting that it is a moral duty of the Sanatan community to maintain this pride and that the government should take responsibility for ensuring Maharaj’s safety.
Mahant Raju Das highlighted ongoing threats from various elements that have emerged over time. “There have been continuous statements against revered Premanand, and radical individuals remain active. This context is why Falhari has written this letter. We trust Chief Minister Yogi, and we believe that under his government, nothing untoward will happen,” he stated.
Conversely, Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya expressed a different viewpoint, suggesting that while Premanand Maharaj does not require additional security due to divine blessings, there are concerns about individuals misusing his popularity. He underscored the importance of ensuring that Maharaj’s devotional activities are not disrupted and that he faces no disturbances.
Acharya emphasized that Premanand Maharaj is not a political figure and has not made any controversial statements, thus posing no threat to his safety. He suggested that distancing from certain individuals around Maharaj may mitigate any potential risks.
