Udaipur, October 3, 2026: SOG Additional SP Mukesh Kumar Soni and his alleged middleman Sajjan Singh, who were arrested in connection with a Rs 2 crore bribery case, have been sent to judicial custody after completing their three-day remand.

The two accused were produced before the court after the remand period ended. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sought two more days of custody, but the defence lawyer opposed the request. The court subsequently ordered that both accused be sent to jail.
Voice Samples and Mobile Phone Sent for FSL Examination
According to investigating officer ACB ASP Mahaveer Singh, voice samples of Mukesh Soni and Sajjan Singh, along with the mobile phone seized from Soni, are being sent for forensic examination.
The examination of the mobile phone is expected to provide information about deleted chats, photographs and videos, if any. The ACB is also searching for absconding reader Jaswant Rao and is continuing its investigation in that direction.
Video Footage Linked to 272-Plot Case Under Investigation
During the investigation, a video footage related to the 272-plot case has also come to light.
According to the information available, when ASP Soni had gone to arrest complainant Niranjan Mogra and his wife, he allegedly asked their child about the DVR. The child reportedly told him that the DVR was installed outside and could be removed from there.
SOG video footage recorded during the operation reportedly shows Soni checking a red-coloured cupboard belonging to the complainant. The ACB is examining the entire footage as part of its investigation.
