Mumbai, December 2 (Udaipur Kiran) | Shares of South West Pinnacle Exploration were trading sharply higher on the BSE after the company secured accreditation for the development of a coal block in Jharkhand. The stock was trading at Rs. 221.50, up by 9.65 points or 4.56 per cent from its previous closing of Rs. 211.85.
The scrip opened at Rs. 223.55 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 242.55 and a low of Rs. 218.00. So far, 1,66,313 shares have been traded on the counter.
The BSE Group ‘B’ stock with a face value of Rs. 10 touched its 52-week high of Rs. 242.55 on December 1, 2025, and a 52-week low of Rs. 95.60 on March 17, 2025. The stock’s one-week high and low stand at Rs. 242.55 and Rs. 184.30, respectively. The company’s current market capitalisation is Rs. 660.73 crore.
Promoter holding in the company stands at 68.85 per cent, while institutional and non-institutional investors hold 0.08 per cent and 31.07 per cent, respectively.
South West Pinnacle Exploration has been accredited as a prospecting agency for carrying out prospecting operations for the exploration of coal and lignite. The accreditation has been granted by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. With this approval, the company will now be able to commence full-scale exploration activities and proceed towards the early development of the Jogeshwar and Khas Jogeshwar coal blocks in Jharkhand, which have been allocated by the Ministry.
The notification is valid for a period of three years from the date of its publication in the official Gazette on November 27, 2025, or until the expiry or termination of the accreditation, whichever is earlier. The company is currently taking steps to mobilise rigs and other resources at the site to begin exploration, followed by Geological Report (GR) preparation and mining plan approval on a fast-track basis.
