Kolkata, April 2, 2025 – Weather Desk – Relief from intense heat may be on the way for parts of South Bengal, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Alipore has forecast thundershowers and gusty winds in select districts starting Wednesday. However, Kolkata and nearby areas will continue to reel under sticky humidity, with little change expected in temperature.

Rain Forecast for Midnapore and Jhargram
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, weather patterns are set to shift in the western regions of South Bengal by Wednesday afternoon. The districts most likely to see rainfall and thunderstorms include:

These areas may also experience gusty winds blowing at 30–40 km/h during the storm activity. Coastal and interior regions could witness brief but sharp showers, bringing temporary relief from heat.
