Mumbai, September 12 (Udaipur Kiran) : The teaser for the political thriller ‘Bloody Politics,’ directed by Dheena Raghavan, was unveiled on Saturday in Mumbai. The film delves into grassroots politics and power struggles in the local areas of South Chennai.
This release coincided with the birthday celebrations of actor Gautham Ram Karthik. Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi shared the teaser on social media, extending birthday wishes to Karthik and highlighting the film’s intriguing premise.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the character of Ilaya, played by Karthik, who aspires to make a significant mark in politics. It also introduces several compelling characters that enhance the storyline. One notable dialogue from the teaser states, “The era of leaders who know everything is over. Now, it’s the time for familiar faces to become leaders.”
Renowned directors P. Vasu and Selvaraghavan will also appear in pivotal roles, with Selvaraghavan portraying a ruthless leader, while P. Vasu plays a security guard trying to thwart Ilaya’s political ambitions.
The film features Karthik alongside Anchana Nethrun in lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Roby, A. Venkatesh, Maran, Indumathi, Aditya Kathir, and Bakiya Shankar. Produced by Ganesh K. Babu, known for the critically acclaimed hit ‘Dada,’ ‘Bloody Politics’ is being made under the banner Draft by GKB, with Sanjay Muthukumar as co-producer.
