Jaipur, December 4 (Udaipur Kiran): In the highly publicised Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment Examination–2021 paper leak case, the Special Operations Group (SOG) has intensified its action and arrested one more candidate involved in the scam.

Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal said that during the investigation of Case No. 10/2024 registered at SOG police station, the involvement of Mahendra Kumar Chaudhary (34), a resident of Nada Ki Dhani, Samod, Jaipur (Rural), came to light. It was found that he struck a deal of Rs 8 lakh with the main accused Vinod Kumar Jat alias Vinod Rebad for the leaked solved question papers.
As per the investigation, Mahendra Kumar had read the solved papers of both shifts on September 14, 2021, before the examination. Based on the leaked papers, he secured unusually high marks in the written exam—137.21 out of 200 in Hindi and 158.59 out of 200 in General Knowledge. Despite securing 474th rank in the combined merit list, he could not make the final selection in the OBC category.
The SOG arrested Mahendra Kumar on Tuesday, December 2, and produced him before the court, from where police custody remand has been obtained till December 8. During initial interrogation, it was also revealed that he was not limited to the SI recruitment scam alone but was actively involved with the main kingpin Vinod Kumar Jat in other competitive examination paper leak cases as well.
With this arrest, the total number of accused arrested in the SI Recruitment Examination–2021 paper leak case has now reached 133. The SOG is continuing a detailed probe into the entire network, including financial transactions, middlemen and other involved candidates, to completely expose this organised criminal racket affecting government recruitment examinations in Rajasthan.
