Udaipur, April 5 (Udaipur Kiran): Police have arrested three accused, including an elderly woman, for allegedly attempting to forcibly occupy agricultural land and abusing a complainant in the Ogna police station area of Udaipur district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh said the case was registered following a complaint by Himmat Lal Meghwal, a resident of Ogna. The complainant alleged that on November 14, 2025, he was fencing his agricultural land in Sankhla village when several individuals forcibly entered the property, damaged the fencing, and assaulted him.
The accused were identified as Bhopal Singh, Nathu Singh, and Bhanwari Kunwar, along with others. The complainant also alleged that his wife Leela Bai was assaulted when she tried to intervene. The accused allegedly used abusive language, issued death threats, and attempted to take over the land.
Police initially took limited action, following which the complainant approached higher authorities and later the court. Acting on court directions, Ogna police registered a formal case and began investigation.
During the probe, the police arrested Bhopal Singh, Nathu Singh, and Bhanwari Kunwar. After completing the investigation, the accused were produced before the SC/ST court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
