New Delhi, April 15 (Udaipur Kiran): Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a comfortable 5-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL 2026 match on Wednesday, chasing down a target of 147 with 29 balls to spare.

Lucknow Super Giants were bowled out for 146 in 20 overs. In reply, RCB reached 149/5 in 15.1 overs, powered by solid batting performances from Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar. Kohli top-scored with 49 runs, while Prince Yadav picked up three wickets for Lucknow.
Lucknow’s Innings
Batting first, LSG lost early wickets and struggled to build momentum. Mitchell Marsh was the top scorer with 40 runs, followed by Mukul Chaudhary (39) and Ayush Badoni (38). However, the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Captain Rishabh Pant suffered an elbow injury and retired hurt but later returned to bat before getting out quickly. Nicholas Pooran continued his poor form, managing just 1 run before being dismissed by Josh Hazlewood.
Marsh brought up the team’s fifty in the eighth over with aggressive strokes, hitting Krunal Pandya for boundaries. Badoni also played a quick cameo before falling to Jitesh Sharma behind the stumps.
For RCB, Rasikh Salam starred with four wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up three wickets to restrict LSG to a modest total.
RCB Chase
RCB had a shaky start, losing Phil Salt in the second over. Devdutt Padikkal also departed for 10 runs. However, Kohli anchored the innings with a composed 49 off 34 balls, while Rajat Patidar added a quick 27 off 13 balls. Jitesh Sharma contributed a brisk 23 off 9 deliveries to finish the chase comfortably.
