Jaipur, April 15 (Udaipur Kiran): Due to track infrastructure work between Rani and Khimel stations on the Mavdar–Palanpur railway section under the Ajmer Division of North Western Railway, a traffic block has been imposed on April 17. As a result, several trains operating on this route will be diverted or partially cancelled.
According to Senior DCM Hitesh Yadav, major trains passing through the Jodhpur division will run on alternative routes due to the RCC box launching work at bridge number 638.
The Jodhpur–Sabarmati train service has been cancelled for two days, while several key trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, will operate on diverted routes.
Two Alternate Routes for Train Diversions
Railways has divided the diverted trains into two alternate routes:
Route 1: Via Luni–Bhildi–Mehsana (Jodhpur to Sabarmati/Mumbai direction)
This route will be used for trains moving from Jodhpur towards Gujarat and Maharashtra, including:
- Train No. 14707 Ranakpur Express (Hanumangarh–Dadar), which will run via Luni, Bhildi, and Mehsana on April 17.
- Train No. 20944 Bhagat Ki Kothi–Bandra Terminus Superfast Express, which will also follow this diverted route.
Route 2: Via Mehsana–Bhildi–Luni (Ahmedabad to Jodhpur/Jammu direction)
Trains coming from Gujarat towards Jodhpur and beyond will be diverted on this route, including:
- Train No. 12462 Sabarmati–Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express, which will run via Mehsana, Bhildi, and Luni.
- Train No. 19223 Sabarmati–Jammu Tawi Express, which will also follow the revised route.
- Train Nos. 20694 and 20496 (Bengaluru–Jodhpur and Hadapsar–Jodhpur Express), which will operate via the same diversion.
Additional Halts for Passenger Convenience
Railways has stated that to reduce passenger inconvenience, diverted trains will take additional halts at stations such as Samdari, Jalore, Marwar Bhinmal, Bhildi, and Patan.
