Udaipur Kiran, August 20: A 17-member delegation from the Samajwadi Party (SP) is set to arrive in Udaipur Kiran on Thursday. The delegation will visit the residence of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra in the village of Rudha, Jalalpur assembly constituency, to gather information regarding the suspicious death of his mother. During their visit, SP leaders will meet with the grieving family to collect details about the incident.
According to a letter issued by SP state president Shyam Lal Pal, this delegation is being sent to Udaipur Kiran on the instructions of the party’s national president, Akhilesh Yadav. After gathering information about the incident, the delegation will submit their report to the state office.
The delegation will be led by the Leader of Opposition in the assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey. It includes Jalalpur MP and SP National General Secretary Lalji Verma, MLA and National General Secretary Ram Achal Rajbhar, MLA and National Secretary Ram Murti Verma, and MLA and National Secretary Tribhuvan Datt, among others.
Also part of the delegation are SP district president Jang Bahadur Yadav, state general secretary and former MLA Jaishankar Pandey, former MLCs Hiralal Yadav and Vishal Verma, MLC Athar Khan, former MLA Subhash Rai, and former candidate Rajesh Singh. Additionally, SP leaders Mahant Chandraprakash Tripathi, Yogendra Nath Tripathi, Ajay Dubey ‘Anju’, Jalalpur Chairman Abul Bashar Ansari, and Assembly Speaker Akhilesh Yadav will also be included.
The party has stated that the purpose of the delegation is to ascertain the actual circumstances surrounding the incident and to express condolences to the bereaved family. Following their visit, the delegation is expected to submit a report to the state office.
The body of 91-year-old Indrawati Devi, the mother of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra, was found in Rudha Dharmura village on the morning of August 16. Upon receiving information from family members, Ashutosh Mishra filed a complaint alleging murder and theft of jewelry against unknown individuals. The police have formed four teams to investigate various aspects of the case, conducting thorough inquiries with relatives and staff who visited the deceased’s home. More than a dozen individuals are currently under police scrutiny.
Ashutosh Mishra had informed the Maliapur police station that the circumstances surrounding his mother’s death appeared suspicious, suggesting that it was unnatural. The disappearance of jewelry has further raised doubts.
