Rain Likely in Rajasthan on Feb 17–18

Jaipur, February 14 (Udaipur Kiran) – A change in weather is expected in Rajasthan next week amid fluctuating winter conditions. According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, the impact of a new western disturbance may bring light rainfall at isolated places in some districts of Jaipur and Bikaner divisions on February 17 and 18.

Before this, the weather across the state is likely to remain clear, with minor fluctuations in temperature.

The Meteorological Department said daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the coming days, leading to a mild feeling of warmth during the afternoon. However, minimum temperatures during morning and evening hours are likely to remain around normal, keeping light winter conditions intact.

During the last 24 hours, Barmer recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 33 degrees Celsius on Friday, with slightly above-normal heat conditions. Maximum temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius or above were also recorded in Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Dungarpur, Jalore and Pali.

In the Shekhawati region, morning and evening chill was more noticeable. Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 4.9 degrees Celsius, while Sikar recorded 6.5 degrees Celsius. Churu and Jhunjhunu also experienced cold conditions during early hours.

In the state capital Jaipur, the weather is gradually turning warmer. Bright sunshine in the morning is leading to warmer days, while nights continue to remain slightly cold. Eastern Rajasthan, Dhundhar, Mewar, desert and border districts have also witnessed a slight rise in both day and night temperatures.
