Udaipur, February 14 (Udaipur Kiran) – The district-level fourth phase Cub and Heerak Pankh Bulbul, Golden Arrow Cub-Bulbul training camp concluded at Uday Niwas after a three-day session held from February 12 to 14 under the aegis of Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Udaipur Headquarters.

The closing ceremony was held under the chief guestship of Pratima Sharma, Principal of Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir School, Ambamata. Dr Dharmapal Singh Dudi, Group Leader and Rover Leader from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, along with Surendra Rawal and Kushal Rawal, were present as special guests.
CO Scout Surendra Kumar Pandey informed that 150 Cub boys and 145 Bulbul girls from Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir School, Rockwoods High School, Abhinav School, BN Public School, Mikado Global School and Happy Home School participated in the camp. Guests were welcomed with the Scout scarf and traditional Mewari uparna.
Pandey served as the Chief Camp Director for the Cub section, while CO Guide Abhilasha Mishra led the Bulbul section. The Cub camp was conducted by senior training counsellor Kunj Bihari Menaria, and the Heerak Pankh Bulbul camp was managed by leader trainer Anjana Sharma.
During the camp, participants received theoretical and practical training from the first stage up to Golden Arrow level. Sessions covered the fundamentals of the Scout movement, rules, promise, symbols, salute, motto, Jungle Book’s Mowgli story, Veer Garjana, Vishal Garjana, BP Six, uniform, proficiency badges and test cards. Cultural programmes and competitions including paper cutting, paper mache, clay art, drawing, essay writing, speech, frog jump and traditional group songs were also organised under the guidance of trained instructors.
Addressing the participants, chief guest Pratima Sharma said scouting plays a vital role in shaping responsible citizens. She appreciated the discipline, punctuality and personality development skills imparted during the camp and stressed that such activities should be conducted in every school.
Dr Dharmapal Singh Dudi said young minds can be moulded effectively at an early age, and the Scout-Guide movement provides structured branches according to age groups. He noted that children who begin with the Cub-Bulbul motto “Koshish Karo” later carry forward the spirit of “Seva” as Rovers and Rangers.
Special guests Surendra Rawal and Kushal Rawal also shared their scouting experiences. Scouters and Guiders who assisted in camp management were honoured with traditional uparna. Participants also shared their camp experiences during the closing session.
