Sai Tirupati University Conducts Awareness Campaign for Clean Air

Udaipur: Sai Tirupati University, Udaipur, organised a special awareness campaign on the occasion of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies to promote awareness about clean air and air pollution.

As part of the campaign, awareness sessions were conducted across all colleges of the university. Students, faculty and staff were informed about the causes of air pollution, its impact on health and measures that can help reduce pollution.

During the campaign, free Pollution Under Control (PUC) checks were conducted for 58 vehicles. A total of 605 people, including university students, faculty, staff, patients and their family members, took the Clean Air Pledge and resolved to contribute towards maintaining clean air.

Sai Tirupati University Chairman Ashish Agrawal said clean air is essential for a healthy life. He said environmental protection is not the responsibility of any single individual or institution but a collective responsibility.

He said creating environmental awareness among students and young people can help build a better and healthier environment for future generations. Such programmes organised by the university not only create environmental awareness among students but also inspire them to bring positive change to society, he added.

Addressing students, Sai Tirupati University Vice-Chancellor Dr Prashant Nahar said clean air and a healthy environment are essential for both the present and the future. He said the university remains committed to increasing awareness in society through such public welfare campaigns.

Sai Tirupati University Registrar Dr Devendra Jain, Deputy Registrar Dr Kanupriya Tiwari, Dr Jyoti Tomar, Komal Dashora and Rajesh Chaubisa, along with faculty and staff members, were present on the occasion. The Sai Tirupati University NSS team also participated actively in the programme.

The campaign aimed to increase awareness among the university community about clean air, healthy living and environmental protection and encourage responsible behaviour to reduce pollution in daily life.
