Udaipur, 28 January (Udaipur Kiran): Member of Parliament Dr Mannalal Rawat had raised the issue of alleged irregularities in the beneficiary list of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana during a DISHA meeting in Dungarpur district. Following his complaint, an official investigation was conducted in which 533 out of 550 beneficiaries were found ineligible.

According to the information, several Gram Panchayats in Dungarpur district had included ineligible persons as beneficiaries under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. When the matter was examined based on the information provided by MP Dr Rawat, startling figures emerged, revealing hundreds of ineligible names in the list. It has been stated that the investigation has only begun and more such cases are likely to surface.
MP Dr Mannalal Rawat had earlier raised this issue in the DISHA meeting of Dungarpur district and had openly alleged the involvement of BAP leaders in the matter. He stated that, at the instance of BAP leaders, names of individuals were added who were not even residents of Dungarpur district. He further alleged that several names in the list were of Muslim individuals and persons linked to Bangladesh, who had no connection with Dungarpur.
Subsequently, Dr Rawat wrote a letter to Bhajanlal Sharma, providing factual details and informing him that ineligible persons were being extended benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Dungarpur district. He also submitted a list of Gram Panchayats, prominently including Baro Ka Sher, Boladra, Batka Fala and Gumanpura, where such irregularities were reported. He stated that, as per available information, these ineligible beneficiaries were not original residents of Dungarpur district but outsiders. Acting on this, the Chief Minister directed the District Collector Dungarpur to conduct an inquiry.
After completing the investigation, the Dungarpur Collector informed MP Dr Rawat through an official letter that a list of 550 persons suspected of being ineligible beneficiaries under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was received. All individuals named in the list were verified by the concerned Tehsildars. The inquiry found that only 17 beneficiaries were eligible, while 533 were declared ineligible. The primary reasons for ineligibility were that the cultivators were not original residents of the district and could not be contacted.
The investigation carried out by Patwaris and Tehsildars in villages including Palgamdi, Baro Ka Sher, Boladra, Manatfala, Batka Fala, Metali, Gumanpura and Serawada found that, barring a few cases, most beneficiaries were ineligible.
Reacting to the findings, MP Dr Mannalal Rawat has demanded strict legal action against the ineligible beneficiaries as well as against those involved in the alleged conspiracy to include their names in the list. He alleged that the large-scale fraud indicates a well-planned conspiracy and claimed that the presence of a large number of outsider Muslim and other names suggests that BAP leaders are providing protection to external elements in Dungarpur district.
