Culture of India Recognized Globally, Rahul Gandhis Remarks Disappointing: Vishwas Sarang

Bhopal, September 14 (Udaipur Kiran) : Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishwas Sarang has responded sharply to comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding the dinner menu at the recent BRICS summit. Sarang expressed disappointment, stating that while India’s culture has gained international acceptance, Gandhi seems unable to appreciate this fact.

In a conversation in Bhopal, Sarang remarked on Gandhi’s maturity, questioning when he would realize the importance of rising above party politics during international events. He suggested that Gandhi should focus on discussing significant dialogues and India’s role at the BRICS summit rather than critiquing the menu.

Sarang emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has gained recognition on the global stage. He pointed out that the countries involved in BRICS play a vital role in the world economy, and Modi’s contributions were well-received during the discussions.

Highlighting the global acceptance of yoga as a result of Modi’s initiatives, Sarang noted that the response from international guests to the vegetarian meals served at the summit indicates a growing respect for Indian culture and cuisine. He criticized Gandhi for failing to recognize these positive developments, accusing him of viewing matters through a political lens, which leads to unfortunate comments.

Central Minister Giriraj Singh also weighed in, recalling that Indian cuisine was presented to foreign guests during the G20 summit as well. He stated that serving traditional Indian dishes is in line with the country’s customs, especially when hosting guests.

Singh further questioned Gandhi’s mental state, suggesting that his negative perspective should not reflect on the entire country. He reiterated that India proudly showcased its culture and cuisine, aligning with national traditions.
