Jaipur, February 25, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Patwari in Dholpur district for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹50,000.

Acting on the directions of ACB Headquarters Jaipur, the ACB outpost in Dholpur conducted a trap operation and caught Birendra Kumar Sharma, Patwari of Patwar Halka Basai Samanta, Tehsil and District Dholpur, red-handed while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.
Director General of Police, ACB, Govind Gupta stated that the bureau had received a complaint alleging that the complainant’s father had registered land in his name on January 6, 2026, under account number 141 for Khasra numbers 244, 249 and 476. For entering the mutation on the basis of the registry, the accused Patwari was allegedly demanding ₹50,000 and harassing the complainant.
Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr Rameshwar Singh, the trap action was carried out on February 25, 2026, by a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Chand of ACB Dholpur. The accused was apprehended while accepting the bribe amount of ₹50,000.
The bribe money was recovered from the window of the accused’s room. Further proceedings in the case are underway.
Under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava, interrogation of the accused and further legal action are continuing. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and has initiated further investigation.
