New Delhi, October 2 (Udaipur Kiran) : As the nation commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, prominent leaders have come forward to pay their respects. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were among those who honored the Father of the Nation.
In a post on the social media platform X, Gadkari reflected on Gandhi’s legacy, stating, “Mahatma Gandhi’s life was an ideal that inspired the entire world to pursue peace and non-violence. His thoughts on self-reliance and self-governance will continue to inspire generations. On this Gandhi Jayanti, I bow to Bapu with heartfelt reverence.”
Chief Minister Adityanath also took to social media, expressing, “On the holy occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, I pay my respects to the ‘Father of the Nation,’ who taught the world the message of freedom through truth and non-violence. I wish the people of the state a happy ‘International Day of Non-Violence.’ Bapu’s ideals of simplicity and thought still guide us in building a self-reliant and developed India.”
In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended heartfelt wishes to the residents, stating, “On this auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, I wish all the citizens heartfelt greetings! Mahatma Gandhi’s life inspires us towards simplicity, integrity, and national service. Let us walk the path shown by him and contribute to building a clean, empowered, and self-reliant Rajasthan.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted Gandhi’s dedication to the nation and society, noting, “Mahatma Gandhi’s journey was a profound dedication to our nation and society.
