Lucknow, June 27: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad has addressed several issues, including the ongoing investigation into the Ram Temple fund case. He stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already made it clear that the truth will prevail in this matter. The investigation is progressing, and no guilty party will be spared. Nishad expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating action, emphasizing that further actions will be taken based on the evidence that emerges.
Rejecting allegations made by the Samajwadi Party and Congress against the government, Nishad asserted that trust in investigative agencies is essential in a democratic system. He questioned how FIRs could be filed without evidence, urging either the government to become an investigative agency or to trust the existing ones.
On the opposition’s criticism of Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal facing backlash from saints in Ayodhya, Nishad targeted opposition parties, claiming they have opposed the Ram Temple issue for years and are now attempting to politicize it. He noted their previous resistance when the temple was being constructed.
In response to former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s announcement of a martyrdom day rally on July 21, Nishad remarked that in a democracy, the final decision rests with the people, who are the ultimate judges. He suggested that the opposition should reflect on their party’s current standing.
Welcoming the decision to inscribe the names of six Indian soldiers who died in ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the National War Memorial, Nishad praised Prime Minister Modi, stating that the nation comes first and that soldiers who make the ultimate sacrifice deserve respect. He noted that such efforts were less visible in previous governments.
Regarding the demand for the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in West Bengal, Nishad stated that decisions made in the public interest should be welcomed. He remarked that Bengal was once considered a model for national development, but political issues have hindered its growth. He viewed any steps towards development and reform positively.
Reflecting on the 170th martyrdom day of revolutionaries including Lochan Nishad and Samadhan Nishad, Nishad highlighted India’s glorious history and the significant contributions of nationalist ideologies to the country’s freedom struggle. He stressed the importance of remembering historical sacrifices and passing this knowledge to future generations.
Responding to Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s frequent visits to Purvanchal, Nishad suggested that it may be too late for him to connect with the public.
