Udaipur, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): Dr. Aman Agrawal, Junior Resident in the Department of Pulmonology at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Umarda, Udaipur, secured second place in the e-poster presentation competition at RajPulmoCon 2026 held at Chomu Palace, Chomu, Jaipur.
Dr. Aman Agrawal presented an e-poster titled “Melioidosis: A Rare Case Presentation” at the conference. Melioidosis is a rare and serious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Burkholderia pseudomallei. It can affect different organs of the body, including the lungs.
Case Presentation on Rare Infectious Disease
The symptoms of melioidosis can resemble those of other infectious and respiratory diseases, making diagnosis challenging. In his case presentation, Dr. Agrawal effectively presented the clinical aspects of the disease, investigations, diagnosis and treatment.
His presentation was appreciated by the experts and judges attending the conference, helping him secure second place in the e-poster presentation competition.
