The two coaches — B-6 and B-7 — of the fully air-conditioned train, caught fire around 11.45 am. After the fire, some passengers pulled the emergency chain to stop the train and immediately alighted from it.
The two damaged coaches were segregated and the process and after reaching Gwalior, the train continued its onwards journey after getting a track clearance.
