Bishkek, September 6 (Udaipur Kiran) : Chinese President Xi Jinping’s participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, held on September 1 in Bishkek, has garnered significant appreciation from the international community. During his address, President Xi emphasized the need for the SCO to embrace its historical responsibilities, stating, “Standing at the crossroads of humanity’s future and destiny, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization must courageously fulfill its historical duties and take the initiative to shape the direction of history.”
Many international figures praised his speech, noting that it established consensus and coordination in Eurasia, promoting high-quality development for the SCO. They believe it has generated broad support for advancing a fair and orderly multipolar world and improving global governance.
Kyrgyz political scientist Mars Sariyev highlighted that President Xi provided precise answers to critical questions regarding the reasons behind the SCO’s development and the factors necessary for future progress.
Guzel Maitkinova, director of the Geopolitical Studies Center at the Russian-Tajik Lavrov University, noted that under China’s leadership, the SCO is effectively implementing consensus within its family of mechanisms and projects, ensuring that the benefits of cooperation reach the people of all member countries.
