Udaipur, January 12 – Taking a significant step toward addressing women’s issues at the grassroots level, the National Commission for Women (NCW) is set to hold a public hearing titled “NCW at Your Doorstep” in Udaipur. The public hearing will be conducted at the Zila Parishad Auditorium on January 13, 2025, at 12:30 PM, under the leadership of NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar. The initiative aims to empower women by providing swift solutions to their grievances and ensuring the protection of their rights.
The public hearing will witness the active participation of district magistrates, senior police officials, and other prominent administrative officers to ensure timely and effective resolution of the issues raised by women. Women from Udaipur and nearby districts are encouraged to attend the hearing and present their concerns. The NCW aims to resolve pending cases and provide on-the-spot solutions wherever possible.
Objective of the Public Hearing
The NCW’s public hearing is a platform for women to voice their grievances and seek redressal for issues related to harassment, domestic violence, workplace discrimination, and other concerns. The primary goal of the hearing is to ensure the swift resolution of pending cases concerning women’s welfare and justice.
In a statement, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar emphasized the commission’s commitment to safeguarding women’s rights and ensuring that their issues are addressed effectively at all levels. “We are committed to ensuring that every woman feels empowered and heard.
