Patna, September 16 (Udaipur Kiran) : RJD legislator Bhai Virendra launched a fierce attack on the NDA government regarding the UPI charges, asserting that the central government is persistently emptying the pockets of the public and driving the country towards poverty. Speaking to reporters in Patna, he stated, “This NDA government aims to loot the hard-earned money of the citizens. Inflation is at an all-time high, unemployment is rampant, and crime is unchecked, while the government continues to burden the public with new taxes.”
Bhai Virendra urged the youth and Gen Z to unite and take to the streets, emphasizing the need to set aside political differences. “Do not trust any leader; it is your duty to save the country. The future belongs to you. Only when the youth rise up will the country change for the better,” he asserted.
Addressing the ongoing UCC debate, he criticized the NDA government’s failure to manage inflation, unemployment, and crime. “The discussion on UCC is merely a distraction because the government has failed. How will you implement it? Every community, be it Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, or Christians, has sacrificed for the country’s freedom. This is a secular nation, not one belonging to a single religion. The Constitution grants everyone the right to practice their faith,” he remarked.
He also expressed concern over the conditions in the country, suggesting that the Home Minister’s push for UCC in BJP-ruled states is an attempt to divert attention from pressing issues. “I urge Gen Z not to trust most leaders, but to join us on the streets; we stand with you,” he said.
Regarding former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he noted, “Kumar has a socialist background and has stated that UCC will not be implemented in Bihar. We demand that he join us in the Grand Alliance, and we will ensure that UCC is not implemented anywhere in the country.”
Bhai Virendra also questioned a committee led by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which is visiting Bihar to assess damages from recent floods. He challenged, “Central ministers and teams come and go, but when you come to assess disaster and floods, tell us how much money you are bringing. Is Bihar receiving any special package?”
He emphasized that the meager assistance of ₹7,000 is insufficient for disaster-affected families, insisting that each family should receive at least ₹25,000 to feel that the government has provided meaningful support.
