Ram Kadam Accuses Uddhav Thackeray Government of Covering Up Disha Salian Case
BJP MLA Ram Kadam claims that the Uddhav Thackeray government deliberately suppressed the Disha Salian death case, responding to Sanjay Rauts statements.

Mumbai, September 16 (Udaipur Kiran) : BJP MLA Ram Kadam has responded sharply to statements made by Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut regarding the death of Disha Salian, alleging that the Uddhav Thackeray-led government intentionally suppressed details of the case during its tenure. Kadam’s remarks come in light of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registering a First Information Report (FIR) in the matter.
Raut had labeled the FIR as a political conspiracy aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Thackeray family. In his counter, Kadam criticized Raut for his lack of awareness at the time of the incident. “You were deep asleep when Disha’s father repeatedly stated that his daughter did not commit suicide but was murdered after being harassed. At that time, you were not willing to initiate an investigation, and your police were idly standing by,” Kadam stated.
He further pointed to a sting operation in which a staff member present during the post-mortem revealed that there were scratch marks on Disha’s body, suggesting that crucial evidence had been deliberately concealed. Kadam also noted that despite repeated demands from Disha’s father for a CBI investigation, these pleas were dismissed. “Now that the court has ordered a CBI inquiry, you (Sanjay Raut) seem to be feeling the heat,” he added.
In another context, Kadam addressed the Mumbai police’s refusal to grant permission for a proposed march by Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil, stating, “Everyone has the right to protest. However, the timing of such protests is crucial. With millions visiting Mumbai for darshan at Lalbaugcha Raja and Siddhivinayak, a protest could disrupt traffic and hurt local sentiments.”
