The Edge 50 series flagship, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, is set to launch in India on July 18. Ahead of the launch, the company released a video showcasing one of its promised AI features. (AI) has a feature called Magic Canvas. The feature is described as a text-to-image generator powered by artificial intelligence and allows users to create images with simple text descriptions. In addition to AI features, this smartphone also supports the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
Magic Canvas comes to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra
A post on the official Motorola India X handle (formerly Twitter) shared a video showing how the AI-powered feature works. In this video, a Motorola Edge 50 Ultra user opens an app-like interface titled “Create with AI.” Two options will appear on the screen: Style Sync and Magic Canvas.
The user goes to the Magic Canvas page, enters a text message describing the scene, and the AI generates it immediately. Users are also shown how to share images on WhatsApp, suggesting that Magic Canvas will most likely allow users to download generated images or share them directly with third-party apps.
No style sync feature was shown, but Single Frame’s description suggests that users can take a photo of an outfit and create a wallpaper to match.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra also has a built-in camera system with artificial intelligence for better stability when recording videos and can also take photos with autofocus and long exposure. The company also said in a newsroom post that artificial intelligence will help you take better action shots. The AI capabilities are powered by the smartphone maker’s in-house Moto AI.
According to the company, Moto AI is an integrated, system-wide artificial intelligence model that is integrated into the camera and generates themed apps as well as navigation and search functions. It is also recommended to offer content creation and personalization features. The company did not disclose any technical details about Moto AI.
Additionally, Motorola announced that Edge 50 series users will now have access to AI-powered editing tools such as Magic Editor, Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur in the Google Photos app. These features are currently available on compatible Google Pixel devices.
