Akanksha Puri Learns Gujarati for Upcoming Film Role

Mumbai, August 23: Actress Akanksha Puri is set to play a significant role in an upcoming Gujarati film. To prepare for this role, she has not only learned the Gujarati language but has also made efforts to understand the culture and nuances of speaking it.

Akanksha believes that when an artist becomes part of a new language and culture, it is essential to grasp the environment accurately to make their performance feel natural on screen.

In a recent conversation, she expressed her desire to authentically portray the Gujarati essence in her character. She emphasized that she wanted to go beyond just following instructions and aimed to deeply understand the language and its speaking style.

“I wanted to accurately depict the Gujarati essence and not just do what I was told. I believe that when you step into a new language and culture, you should make an effort to understand it properly,” said Akanksha.

She added, “During my preparation for the role, I focused on the pronunciation and speaking style of the Gujarati language. I worked on articulating the words correctly while also understanding facial expressions and mannerisms. Honestly, this entire experience has been quite enjoyable. I want my appearance and character on screen to feel like a natural part of that environment.”

Currently, not much information has been revealed about Akanksha’s character in the upcoming Gujarati film, including the nature of her role and its significance in the storyline, which remains a secret for now.

Recently, Akanksha Puri was seen alongside actor Randeep Hooda in the film ‘Inspector Avinash 2,’ where she played the role of a Punjabi girl who transitions from a dancer to an informant. She described this role as a unique opportunity to explore something new.
