New Delhi, May 2, 2025 – JSW MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the MG Windsor Pro on May 6, and ahead of the official unveiling, the upcoming electric vehicle has been fully leaked online. The Windsor Pro is an upgraded version of the popular Windsor EV and brings with it a host of enhancements including feature additions, a new interior finish, and a significantly larger battery pack.

Refreshed Exterior with Subtle Cosmetic Tweaks
The MG Windsor Pro retains much of the design language from the existing Windsor EV but includes refined cosmetic upgrades. The most visible change is the introduction of new diamond-cut alloy wheels, the same design found on the MG Hector. Additionally, an ‘ADAS’ badge on the tailgate confirms the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for the first time in this lineup.
Another update includes revised color options, as the previously available Clay Beige has been discontinued and replaced with a sleeker silver option. MG is expected to offer the Windsor Pro in a single, fully loaded variant to position it as a premium upgrade over the standard Windsor EV.
Premium Beige Interior and Enhanced Comfort
Inside the cabin, MG has swapped the black upholstery of the Windsor EV with a new beige interior theme for the Windsor Pro. This change not only lends a more premium look to the vehicle but is also intended to improve cabin comfort, especially in warmer climates. However, the light-colored upholstery may require more maintenance over time.
Feature Upgrades: ADAS, V2L and More
Among the most significant upgrades is the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making the Windsor Pro a more safety-centric offering. In addition, MG has added the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature, which allows users to draw power from the car’s battery to run other electrical appliances — a functionality increasingly sought after in modern EVs.
Other expected enhancements include an electric tailgate, adding more convenience to this high-end electric vehicle package.
Major Battery Upgrade Promises Extended Range
One of the most awaited improvements is the expansion of the battery capacity. The Windsor Pro features a new 50.6 kWh battery pack — a substantial upgrade over the 38 kWh unit in the Windsor EV. As per the CLTC cycle, the Windsor Pro delivers a claimed range of 460 km, a significant leap from the 332 km range offered by the standard model (MIDC-rated).
This addresses one of the major limitations users had with the Windsor EV and positions the Pro variant as a long-range alternative for urban and semi-urban commuters.
Market Outlook and Launch Expectations
Launched in September 2024, the Windsor EV quickly became one of India’s best-selling electric cars. The upcoming Windsor Pro capitalizes on this momentum by delivering what customers have consistently requested — more range, more features, and better practicality.
With only one variant expected, the Windsor Pro will likely sit at the top of the Windsor lineup, targeting buyers seeking advanced technology and extended driving range in the electric vehicle segment.
