Doha, March 30 : India’s campaign in WTT Star Contender came to an end as Manika Batra and her partner Archana Kamath lost in the women’s doubles semifinals here on Wednesday. The Indians, who are ranked 6 in the world, lost 3-0 (11-8, 11-6, 11-7) to Chinese Taipei’s Li Yu-Jhun and Cheng I-Ching. India’s top ranked players Manika and Sathiyan Gananasekaran ousted in the round-16 of women’s and men’s singles respectively. In the mixed doubles, Manika and Sathiyan’s campaign ended with a first round loss. Veteran paddler Sharath Kamal, however, suffered first round loss in singles and men’s doubles matches.
