JioTag Air Bluetooth Tracker With Support for Apple’s Find My Feature Debuts in India

Geotag Air was launched in India on Tuesday as the successor to Geotag, Reliance Jio’s Bluetooth-enabled tracker. One of the key new features of the device is compatibility with Apple’s Find My Network feature, which helps iPhone users locate lost or stolen items such as keys, luggage, wallets and pets. This is the company’s latest product after launching the Jio Finance app last month.

Air India JioTag starting price is Rs 1,499 on Jiomart, Reliance Digital and Amazon India. The device is available in three colors: blue, gray and red. Customers can get cashback on transactions made through CredUPI, Paytm and select credit cards.

Specifications of JioTag Air

JioTag Air supports two tracking apps. On Android with the JioThings app, while Apple users can use the Find My Network app on devices like iPhone, iPad and Mac – a feature that was missing from its predecessor. Additionally, the Jio Things app is also available through the App Store on Apple platforms. However, with JioTag Air, only one app can be used at a time.

Compatible with iPhone models running iOS 14 or later and Android smartphones running Android 9 or later firmware. The tracker is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and has a built-in speaker that can reproduce sounds in the range of 90-120 dB. It measures 38x38x7 mm and weighs 10 grams.

The Bluetooth tracker has received support for Apple Lost Mode, which allows the user to automatically receive a notification on the connected Apple device when a lost device is found on the network. The package includes a 12-month battery attached to the retail packaging of the Geotag Air, along with an additional battery and strap.
