Ranchi, October 28 (Udaipur Kiran): Due to a cyclonic system formed over the Bay of Bengal, several parts of Jharkhand are likely to witness rainfall in the coming days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for very heavy rainfall in parts of Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar, and Chatra districts on Friday. The department released this information on Tuesday.
According to the IMD, heavy rain is also expected in some areas of the south-western districts of the state on Wednesday.
Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Koderma, Jamtara, Sahibganj, and Pakur districts, where heavy rainfall is likely on Friday.
In the past 24 hours, Godda recorded the highest temperature at 35.4°C, while Latehar recorded the lowest at 18.6°C. During this period, Simdega received 0.5 mm of rainfall.
On Tuesday morning, Ranchi and nearby areas remained cloudy, leading to a slight drop in temperature and a mild winter-like feel.
