Ranchi, November 8 (Udaipur Kiran) — The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a sharp fall in temperatures across Jharkhand over the next three days, with the minimum temperature likely to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
According to the department, the chill is expected to intensify from next week as north-westerly and northerly winds continue to dominate the lower atmospheric levels over the state. These winds are bringing cooler and drier air, leading to a significant decline in night temperatures.
During the past 24 hours, Pakur recorded the highest temperature at 32.9°C, while the lowest temperature was 12.6°C.
On Saturday, clear skies were observed across Ranchi and nearby areas. Residents experienced noticeable cold during the early morning and late evening hours. The maximum temperature in Ranchi was recorded at 27.8°C, while Jamshedpur registered 31.8°C, Daltonganj 31.4°C, Bokaro 27.1°C, and Chaibasa 32°C.
The weather office has advised residents to prepare for colder nights as temperatures are expected to continue falling over the coming days, marking the early onset of winter conditions across the state.
