Nagoya, September 27 (Udaipur Kiran) : The Indian cricket team has arrived in Nagoya ahead of their quarterfinal match against Afghanistan in the Asian Games 2026. The match is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Nishin Koroji Sports Park.
The team traveled from Tokyo to Nagoya via the bullet train, a journey that was shared on social media by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). A video posted on the platform X features head coach VVS Laxman, captain Shreyas Iyer, and the players as they wait for the train and board it.
Players described the bullet train experience as fantastic, with captain Shreyas Iyer, middle-order batsman Tilak Varma, and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan expressing their excitement about the journey.
During the trip, the players attempted to understand Japanese words, sharing laughs and jokes among themselves. Arshdeep Singh humorously remarked to Ravi Bishnoi about the wonderful memories created during their visit to Japan, highlighting the love they received from the locals and the joy of sharing love in return.
Bishnoi agreed with Arshdeep’s light-hearted comment about his dislike for stillness, which made the bullet train ride a fitting choice for him.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen capturing photos of the bullet train, while Indian fans in Japan took selfies and sought autographs from the cricketers.
