Bhopal, 2 September (Kiran News): The monsoon has once again become active in Madhya Pradesh, bringing heavy rainfall to more than 26 districts including Bhopal, Ratlam, Damoh, and Gwalior since Monday. The strong weather system has resulted in widespread rain, leaving fields and villages submerged, rivers swollen, dams overflowing, and daily life severely affected in many areas.

Ratlam’s Palsoda Village Submerged
In Ratlam district, Palsoda village has been completely submerged due to heavy rain and water released from the dam. Houses, streets, and fields in the village are underwater, forcing residents to take shelter on rooftops for safety. Three gates of the Dholawad Dam had to be opened, rapidly flooding low-lying areas. Meanwhile, the culvert between Usargarh and Amleta villages also collapsed, cutting off road connectivity.
Funeral Held Under Tarpaulin in Morena

Heavy rain caused destruction in several districts. In Damoh, one person died after being buried under debris from a collapsed house, while his wife sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. In Uplai village, a car overturned, but the occupants were safely rescued thanks to the alertness of villagers.
