Udaipur : On the auspicious occasion of the holy month of Sawan, Narayan Seva Sansthan organised its ‘Apno Se Apni Baat’ programme at the institution’s Seva Mahatirth. Addressing the gathering, Sansthan President Prashant Agrawal called upon society to continuously uphold the spirit of service and selfless charity.
He said that just as the River Ganga flows endlessly, quenching the thirst of millions and sustaining life, the flow of service in society should also remain uninterrupted. He added that human life has been granted by God not only for personal benefit but also for serving humanity and helping those in need.
‘Nar Me Narayan’ Is the Foundation of True Service
Prashant Agrawal said that the philosophy of ‘Nar Me Narayan’ forms the foundation of true service. He stated that Narayan Seva Sansthan serves people beyond the boundaries of caste, religion and social class, ensuring that no one is treated differently based on their economic status.
He further said that the simplest way to receive the blessings of Lord Shiva is by not hurting anyone’s feelings and by becoming a source of support for those in need. According to him, Lord Shiva’s message inspires people to dedicate themselves completely to the protection of society and humanity. Referring to the mythological episode of Samudra Manthan, he said that just as Lord Shiva accepted the poison that emerged during the churning of the ocean, people should also embrace the spirit of sacrifice and service to reduce the suffering of society.
President Interacts with Beneficiaries and Their Families
During the programme, Prashant Agrawal interacted directly with differently-abled beneficiaries undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the institution, along with their family members. He sought feedback on the services provided by the Sansthan and enquired about the changes they had experienced after becoming associated with the institution.
He spoke with Ankur from Madhya Pradesh, Sataram from Barmer and Virat from Delhi about their life circumstances, the challenges they faced after becoming differently abled, and the positive changes they experienced after receiving treatment, artificial limbs and other services from the institution. He also interacted with their family members to understand their experiences regarding the institution’s support and service arrangements.
Call for Greater Public Participation in Service
Prashant Agrawal said that restoring confidence in the life of a differently-abled person and helping them move towards self-reliance is not merely an act of assistance but a responsibility towards humanity. He urged every capable individual in society to contribute to this journey of service.
