Hyundai cars are popular among Indian customers. In July 2026, models such as the Hyundai Creta, Venue and Exter received strong customer response. However, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 recorded only eight units in sales. In July 2025, the figure stood at 25 units. This represents a 68 per cent year-on-year decline in IONIQ 5 sales.
Hyundai IONIQ 5 Features
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 gets parametric pixel LED headlights and taillights, giving it a distinctive appearance. It also features auto-flush door handles and 20-inch alloy wheels that add to its sporty character.
Inside the cabin, the car gets two large 12.3-inch screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the driver display. The cabin offers an open and spacious environment and uses eco-friendly and recycled materials.
Strong Safety Features
The electric SUV comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Its safety features include forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist, along with more than 21 safety features.
The car also gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and disc brakes on all four wheels. Comfort features include ventilated seats, a premium Bose eight-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology.
690km Driving Range
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is equipped with a large 84kWh liquid-cooled battery pack. According to the company, the electric SUV offers an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 690km on a single charge.
The rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor produces 225bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.
10 to 80 Per Cent Charging in 18 Minutes
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 supports 800V ultra-fast charging. When connected to a 350kW DC fast charger, its battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes.
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is priced from Rs. 55.70 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. The car is sold in the country in a single fully loaded variant. It offers a combination of range, premium features, sporty styling and safety features.
