Udaipur, August 16: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on Saturday night. He was welcomed at Maharana Pratap Airport in Dabok by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Amit Shah will spend the night in Udaipur and is scheduled to visit Nimbahera in Chittorgarh district with Chief Minister Sharma on Sunday.
To welcome the Union Home Minister, several dignitaries were present at the airport, including Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, District In-Charge Minister Hemant Meena, MP C.P. Joshi, Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, and Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, along with various local representatives and BJP leaders.
On Sunday, Amit Shah will participate in several events in Nimbahera (Chittorgarh) and Alwar, where he is expected to announce development projects worth over ₹12,000 crores. These projects will include the inauguration and foundation-laying of various development works and other significant programs.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will also accompany Amit Shah to Nimbahera and will host him at the events. According to the state government, these projects are aimed at boosting infrastructure, industry, roads, energy, and welfare initiatives in the state.
In light of Amit Shah’s visit, the administration and police department have made extensive security arrangements. Security measures have been strengthened from the airport to the proposed event locations. On Sunday morning, Amit Shah and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will depart for Nimbahera, where several important programs related to the state’s development will take place.
During this occasion, various representatives, including MLAs Tarachand Jain, Udaylal Dangi, Phool Singh Meena, Shanta Devi, and Pratap Bheel, also welcomed Amit Shah. BJP city district president Gajpal Singh Rathore, rural district president Pushkar Teli, and party officials like Alka Moondra were present at the airport. BJP leaders Chandragupt Singh Chouhan and Salumber BJP district president Chandrashekhar Joshi also participated in the welcome event.
