Smoke and flames were suddenly seen rising between the second and third coaches, prompting passengers to quickly exit the train.

According to sources, as soon as the train arrived at Hooghly station on schedule, smoke and fire were noticed between the coaches. Passengers immediately alerted the guard, and railway staff rushed to the spot. The situation was brought under control in time. The train was halted for a while and, after the fire was completely extinguished, it was safely sent on its way to Bardhaman.
