Udaipur, May 5, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — A key meeting of “Green Saviours,” a group of retired forest officials, was held at Aranya Kutir in Udaipur, where important decisions were taken on environmental protection, wildlife conservation, and organisational guidelines.

Senior members including Rahul Bhatnagar, Indrapal Singh Mathar, O.P. Sharma, Layak Ali Khan, Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit, P.S. Chundawat, P.L. Sharma, O.C. Menaria, R.K. Jain, and Dr Satish Kumar Sharma participated in the meeting. Speakers emphasised the need for collective efforts to protect the environment.
It was unanimously decided that no political content will be shared within the group. Instead, only information and news related to environment, forests, and wildlife conservation will be prioritised to maintain the organisation’s focus.
During discussions, special emphasis was laid on promoting sandalwood plantation in the state. Members decided to provide necessary technical suggestions to the Forest Department to ensure effective steps in this direction.
The group also decided to write to the department and the government, seeking free or concessional entry for retired forest officials at forest rest houses, wildlife sanctuaries, and national parks.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment towards environmental conservation.
