Users can now transfer their number by:

The Google Workspace admin then needs to approve the request through:

Once the transfer is approved, the number is immediately moved to the new business account. Until then, users can continue using their number under the personal account.
Why This Matters for Businesses
For entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses, maintaining a consistent phone number is crucial for brand identity and communication. Google acknowledges this need, stating:
“We know it’s important for our users to continue maintaining an established phone number and ensure that this number stays associated with them as they move to a Google Workspace business account.”
With this update, a solopreneur who initially used a personal Google Voice number can now seamlessly transition it to their growing business without disruption.
