Udaipur, March 26, 2025 – In observance of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, a special friendly cricket match was organized in Udaipur, aimed at raising awareness about TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The event brought together local doctors, healthcare professionals, social workers, and youth entrepreneurs in a unique initiative that combined health advocacy with sportsmanship.

Doctors Lead the Way in TB Awareness Campaign
The match was spearheaded by renowned oncologist Dr. Manoj Mahajan, who emphasized the importance of spreading accurate information about TB. “Tuberculosis is a completely curable disease, and there is no reason to fear it. What’s needed is early diagnosis and proper treatment,” Dr. Mahajan stated. He also highlighted the need to dispel societal myths and remove the stigma surrounding the disease.
All participants and attendees took a pledge to promote TB awareness, encourage regular health check-ups, and support efforts to make India TB-free.

The event saw Dr. Mahajan XI emerge victorious, with Sawan Dosi being awarded the Player of the Tournament for his exceptional performance. Banners displaying preventive measures and treatment guidance for TB were prominently placed around the ground, further emphasizing the educational aspect of the initiative.
Dr. Saurabh, a dental specialist, addressed the audience, explaining that TB is a contagious disease primarily affecting the lungs, and spreads through the air. He stressed the importance of timely testing and adherence to the complete treatment course.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sujay Gupta added that such community-driven events help reinforce the message of health consciousness and disease prevention through engaging and relatable means.
