Udaipur, July 8. Due to the increasing interest in Panchakarma therapy, the 32nd free five-day Panchakarma therapy camp was inaugurated on Monday at the Arogya Samiti Government Model Ayurvedic Dispensary in Sindhi Bazaar, Udaipur.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Deendayal Sharma, Additional Director of the Ayurveda Department, Udaipur, and Dr. Rajeev Bhatt, Deputy Director, Ayurveda Department, Udaipur. The inauguration ceremony included garlanding and lighting a lamp in front of a picture of Lord Dhanvantari.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Deendayal Sharma, Additional Director of Udaipur Division, said that Panchakarma is an ancient Ayurvedic therapy that cures diseases from the root. Dr. Rajeev Bhatt, Deputy Director of the Ayurveda Department, Udaipur, praised the doctors, nursing staff, and support staff providing services at the Panchakarma camp in Sindhi Bazaar.
In charge and Senior Ayurvedic Medical Officer Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya explained that due to modern diet and lifestyle changes, lifestyle diseases are increasing significantly. Common issues, especially among women and children, include joint pain, knee pain, cervical spondylosis, sciatica, migraine, avascular necrosis, heel pain, insomnia, and hair problems.
He stated that treatments such as Kati Basti, Janu Basti, Greeva Basti, Nasya, Sarvanga Swedana, Sthanik Abhyanga, Sarvanga Abhyanga, Sthanik Swedana, Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda, Shirodhara, Shiro Basti, Dhara Swedana, and Basti Karma are being used in the Panchakarma camp to treat patients. A special Agni Karma therapy camp will be organized on July 12.
