Udaipur : In a bold move against unlicensed and illegal healthcare practices, the Udaipur district health department has launched a targeted operation in Gogunda, resulting in the shutdown of nine unauthorized clinics. The action was taken under the direction of District Collector and led by Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Ashok Aditya, in collaboration with the drug control department.

Nine Clinics Found Operating Without Licenses or Medical Credentials
Acting on credible reports of illegal medical activities, two enforcement teams comprising district-level officers and drug inspectors were dispatched. The crackdown uncovered widespread violations including treatment without medical qualifications, missing licenses, and absence of clinical establishment registrations.

According to the CMHO, these establishments were posing as medical clinics under the guise of medical stores, with no valid degrees or documents presented by individuals offering treatment.
Clinics Sealed, Police Notified for Further Action
All nine clinics have been sealed, and the matter has been escalated to local law enforcement for further investigation and possible legal action. The teams conducting the raids included Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Dr. Pranav Bhavsar, Ashish Damor, Hemendra Menaria, Drug Inspector Kuldeep Singh Yaduvanshi, and Neha Bansal.
Authorities emphasized that no compromise will be tolerated when it comes to public health and safety, especially from unauthorized individuals endangering lives under the pretense of medical care.
Ongoing Action Against Unlicensed Practitioners
CMHO Dr. Ashok Aditya stated that this is part of a larger ongoing campaign against quack doctors and unauthorized clinics across the district. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to ensuring only qualified professionals are allowed to practice, and that similar enforcement drives will continue to protect citizens from medical malpractice.
