Udaipur Police Arrests History-Sheeter and 3 Others Involved in Organized Extortion Racket

Udaipur, Rajasthan – In a significant crackdown on organized crime, Udaipur police have arrested four notorious criminals, including a history-sheeter, for allegedly running a criminal syndicate that extorted money by threatening and intimidating local citizens. The arrest was made following a strategic and intelligence-led operation by police officials under the directives of the district superintendent.

The key accused, Mohammad Ismail alias Manu alias Bada Mewati, a history-sheeter from Ambamata police station area, was released on bail from judicial custody and was reportedly re-engaged in criminal activities. Police intelligence revealed that Ismail was building an organized syndicate with the intent to commit serious crimes, including murder, robbery, unlawful assembly, and extortion using threats and intimidation.

Working swiftly on credible inputs, the Ambamata police registered a case under Sections 111(2)(e), 111(3), 111(4), and 3(5) of the BNS Act 2023, initiating an investigation into the organized crime ring.

Coordinated Police Operation Leads to Arrests

Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Ojha, Circle Officer Kailash Chandra, and direction of SHO Mukesh Soni, a special task force was formed. Further investigation and enforcement were carried out by SHO Yogendra Vyas of Hathipole Police Station, who led a focused team in locating and apprehending the suspects.

Police raided multiple locations and successfully arrested four accused:

  1. Mohammad Ismail alias Manu alias Bada Mewati, son of Mohammad Jamil, resident of Dhuli Magri, Ambamata.

  2. Mohammad Suhaan, son of Sher Mohammad Dair, resident of Garib Nawaz Colony, Ambamata.

  3. Amaan alias Michael, son of Zahid Khan, 22, resident of Dhuli Magri, Ambamata.

  4. Faiyaz Khan, son of Azizi Khan, resident of Kachchi Basti, Sajjan Nagar, Ambamata.

Following interrogation, all four individuals were presented in court and have been remanded to judicial custody.

Multiple Serious Criminal Cases Registered Against Accused

According to police records, all four arrested individuals have previously been named in multiple FIRs for heinous crimes, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, unlawful assembly, and possession of illegal arms. Their repeated criminal conduct across different police stations in Udaipur highlights their deep involvement in the city’s organized crime underbelly.
