The action was carried out under the directions of Beawar Superintendent of Police Ratan Singh. According to police, a team led by Badnor Station House Officer Mahadev Prasad had set up a blockade on the Ojhiyana road when a white Creta car approached. When signalled to stop, the occupants broke the barricade and attempted to flee.

Police immediately gave chase and intercepted the vehicle in a dramatic pursuit. During the search, large quantities of doda-post were found packed in plastic sacks inside the car.

Two accused — Ajay Charan (27), a resident of Dangiyawas in Jodhpur, and Jetharam Jat (32), a resident of Lohawat in Phalodi — were arrested on the spot. Police said that Jetharam has been previously involved in serious criminal cases, including attempt to murder.

During the operation, two fake number plates were also recovered from the vehicle, allegedly used by the smugglers to evade police checks. The Hyundai Creta car has been seized.

The police team involved in the operation included SHO Mahadev Prasad, ASI Inderjit Singh, and constables Banwari Lal, Azruddin, Virendra Kumar, Balveer, Chhoturam and Sunil Kumar. Further interrogation of the accused is underway to trace the wider smuggling network and identify the main suppliers. Further investigation has been handed over to Vijaynagar SHO Rajesh Tiwari.
