Nagpur: Three people including a couple and their son were killed while another person sustained serious injuries after their car rammed into a truck within Kondhali police limits in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district on Saturday, a senior police official said.
According to the official, the mishap took place near Bazargaon on Nagpur-Amravati Highway when the truck took a sudden turn and the driver of the car lost control over the wheel.
The deceased was identified as Roshan Ramaji Tagde (28), his wife Anchal (23) and son Ram(5), residents of Kalamna area of Nagpur. Anchal’s niece Joya Akash Meshram (8) sustained serious injuries due to the accident, the official said. Police have arrested the truck driver Madhukar Thawre (45), a resident of Pardi in Nagpur under IPC and Motor Vehicles Act provisions, the official said adding that further probe was on.
