Varanasi, October 1 (Udaipur Kiran) : In Varanasi, special prayers and rituals are being conducted at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Somnath Temple for Captain Smita Machhar, who heroically saved the lives of 174 passengers aboard flight FJAD1073 traveling from Dubai to Israel. The rituals aim to ensure a swift recovery for the captain, who is currently unwell.
Sanjay Kumar Pandey, a priest at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, expressed pride in Captain Machhar’s bravery. He mentioned that special ceremonies are being held for the captain’s long-term health, including an abhishek with a mixture of Ganga water and kush grass, along with chanting the Mahamrityunjaya mantra for his speedy recovery. This initiative is supported by the Kashi Vishwanath Trust and the captain’s family, emphasizing the significance of his actions in saving lives.
At the Somnath Temple, a similar grand prayer ceremony is underway, with priests chanting mantras for the captain’s health. The temple shared a video on social media showcasing the rituals dedicated to Machhar, highlighting his courage in thwarting a potentially disastrous situation reminiscent of 9/11. The temple’s post conveyed hopes for Captain Machhar’s swift recovery, invoking blessings from Lord Shiva.
