11 Terrorists Killed in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa During Security Operations

Islamabad, March 28, 2025 — International Desk

In a major counter-terrorism success, Pakistani security forces eliminated 11 terrorists in separate encounters over the past 48 hours in the restive province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). According to a statement from the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations took place across Mir Ali, Miranshah, and Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan) districts.

11 Terrorists Killed in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Four Encounters, No Casualties for Security Forces

The ISPR confirmed that four direct engagements occurred between security forces and terrorists, with all operations resulting in militant casualties and no reported losses to the armed forces.

In Mir Ali, located in the North Waziristan district, security personnel launched a precision operation based on intelligence inputs, killing five terrorists. Later, three more militants were neutralized in a separate gunfight within the same region.

Weapons and Ammunition Recovered

Two terrorists were gunned down in the Miranshah area, while another was killed in the Daraban locality of D.I. Khan district. Security forces also recovered arms, ammunition, and explosive material from the sites of the encounters.

Terror Surge Post-Taliban Takeover in Afghanistan

The ISPR added that just last week, Pakistani forces had killed at least 16 terrorists in Ghulam Khan Kalle, a region near the Afghan border, as militants attempted to infiltrate from Afghanistan into Pakistan. The incident underscores the rising threats along the porous border, especially since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan in 2021.

Pakistan has witnessed a sharp rise in terror attacks since early 2025, with the bulk of incidents occurring in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. The security forces remain on high alert as cross-border infiltration and insurgent activity escalate.
